Job Summary
PSEG is looking for an Intern for the Nuclear Projects, Project Controls Team
This job involves working as a Project Controller. The project controller is a key member of the capital project team and works directly with the project manager to ensure a project stays within budget and gets delivered to the station on time. They help define the project's goals and objectives; create and maintain a project's budget, analyze progress reported against the work schedules; and recommend actions to improve progress and stay on time and within authorized funding.
This position will be Hybrid (2 days on site, Mondays and 1 other day).

Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Business. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.
Preferred:
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.

- Assist and learn to monitor costs, project future expenditures, identify impacts to forecasts, analyze variances, and maintain project in-service dates.
- Coordinate month-end financial close for capital nuclear projects.
- Maintain project costs within authorized funding and process funding change documents if additional funding is required.
- Summer assignment:
- The summer intern will review the controls in place within the Project Controls group and assist in drafting a Project Control Aid (PCA) specific to the Project Control Process. This will include outlining the steps necessary to complete each control or process.
