Job Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Coordination:
- Manages all Pediatric faculty schedules, implements new processes, tracks FTEs, budgets for moonlighting, and reports outcomes to leadership.
- Coordinates Newborn REaL (race, ethnicity & language) project to improve the patient data collection process.
- Provides support to Medical Students and Residents rotating in the Well Baby Unit :coordinating their orientation and onboarding materials as directed by the DPNBM Education Program Coordinator.
- Coordinates referrals to Pediatric networks and helps facilitate discharges working under the direction of the faculty
- Supports and updates Well Nursery Clinical Practice Guidelines to be approved at Clinical Practice Council.
- Schedules newborn patient follow-up appointments as needed.
- Conducts OPPE/FPPE Parent Surveys using an I-pad, to collect patient satisfaction data.
- Works closely with the Program Director and Well Baby Nursery Medical Director to coordinate and improve administrative processes.
- Coordinates hiring of new faculty Pediatricians, interviews, and Well Nursery onboarding.
- Manages Parent Faculty Advisory Council group, shares updates, reports to leadership.
- Supports Well Baby Pediatricians with scheduling meetings (i.e., Division Day, Well Newborn Care Improvement Team Meeting), taking minutes, processing expenses and ordering supplies.
Reports to: Well Baby Nursery Medical Director, Program Director
Schedule: Able to work full time, 40 hours/week, on-site, Monday through Friday, to start. This position has potential to work 1 day/week remotely.
Qualifications
- Minimum Degree Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English preferred.
