Project Coordinator
The commercial construction division of our company is growing again and looking to add a new team member! Our division furnishes and installs doors, frames, hardware, access control systems, Overhead Doors, and more for construction projects. Our projects range in size from 1 - 2000+ openings and are a mixture of renovations and complete new buildings.
The ideal Project Coordinator is highly organized and detail-oriented with a desire to learn the construction industry. We stay busy all the time and every team member is critical to the proper functioning of our hard working team.
Summary of responsibilities
The Project Coordinator duties are comprised of two main facets. These are:
- Assist the Director of our Contracts Division
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals in conjunction with the estimating team
- Download and print project manuals, blueprints, and other contract documents for estimates
- Process change orders
- Review project contracts and purchase orders for scope and language
- Assist the Director on the projects he is managing, including releasing material to purchasing, following up on material status, and billing
- Submit pre-qualification data and other reporting as needed
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date task list
- Maintain multiple weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports using Excel formulas and templates
- Assist in the launch of a new industry-related software system and subsequent company-wide training
- Other duties and projects as assigned
- Contract set up / closeout
- Download and print blueprints, specifications, addenda, and other project documents for detailing
- Combine addenda and other change documents into a single current .pdf
- Compile project documents into job binders
- Communicate with general contractors to obtain necessary information
- Handle certificates of insurance, schedule of values, and other start up documentation required

- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the commercial construction industry
- The ability to read and understand architectural plans and specifications
- The ability to read and understand contract documents and language
