Our team is looking for a seasoned Executive Assistant to join a world renowned design firm. The position sits in the lovely Montclair, New Jersey and the team dynamic feels like a family.
Responsibilities
- Develop interior schemes including color, materials, sourcing furniture, fabrics, case goods, lighting and material selections. Extensive market knowledge for sourcing decorative items.
- The designer contributes to creative, budgetary, operational and design coordination and accountability for all facets of the project
- Generate presentations using various media
- Manage all aspects of client interaction and coordination
- Develop and review with appropriate professional proficiency detailed design and construction drawing sets including floor plans, elevations, sections, electrical details, schedules (finish, plumbing, door, fixture), furniture floor plans, FF&E specifications, materials and finishes
- Develop and review furniture installation plans and shop drawings for content and accuracy and ensure that they are fully coordinated with all pertinent consultant drawings.
- Generate FF&E design based on established project criteria, program and budget, review and approve FF&E purchase orders, coordinate final placement of FF&E installation with all parties invoiced and maintain FF&E budget for all phases of the project interiors
- Develop architectural finish specifications and coordinate with project architects, contractor and review plans and details to ensure proper coordination of finishes and item numbers
- Review samples, strike offs etc for compliance with specification and overall design intent

- Must have strong organization skills and be able to handle more than 1 project simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently
- Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Design Manager, Adobe, In-Design programs.
Education & Experience
Minimum of 4 years residential design experience preferred. two- or four-year degree from an accredited interior design program preferred.
