The Design Project Coordinator will oversee UX, PUI, and Industrial Design projects being developed at the NAHQ design lab, ensuring seamless integration between the disciplines and promoting collaboration with relevant teams at both Seoul HQ and LG North American HQ. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the successful and holistic delivery of projects, maintaining high standards of quality and communication.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and contribute to end-to-end UX, PUI, and Industrial Design projects, ensuring they align with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
• Drive effective collaboration and communication among UX, Industrial Design, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with designers, product managers, engineers, and relevant teams to align project objectives and facilitate seamless workflow.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, including milestones and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and proactively address any issues.
• Conduct regular status meetings, fostering a collaborative environment and providing updates.
• Support the exchange of ideas and best practices for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design methodologies, proposing process improvements and tool enhancements as needed.
• Play an active role in defining and running design research insight programs throughout the year.
• Act as a key member in extracting insights for informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience overseeing Design Projects, with at least 5 years in design or product strategy.
• Professional working experience in either UX, Industrial Design, Design Strarategy, Design Insights.
• Strong understanding of user experience principles and industrial design methodologies, and their integration within the development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Arts, or equivalent design work experience.
• Familiarity with conducting research and product auditing is highly beneficial.
