Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of Renewables and Reliability Section, the Program Manager has full management responsibility for the most complex and sensitive program issues including administrative oversight, planning, organizing, directing, and managing the unit supervisors, staff, programs, and activities of the Reliability Reserve Incentives Branch. The Program Manager has primary responsibility of collaborating with unit supervisors and division leadership, plans and oversees all branch activities including the design, implementation, and administration of programs that provide services, information, and incentives to consumers and industry on building decarbonization, renewable energy and grid reliability, including enablement and deployment of bulk grid assets, distributed energy resources (DERs) and demand flexibility, and virtual power plants. The Program Manager confers with the Deputy Director, Division Director, Executive Director, and Commissioners on a broad spectrum of subject areas within the branch's portfolio. In addition, the Program Manager represents the Division and the Commission before various state, federal and local energy regulatory agencies and organizations with roles in shaping the state's energy policies and may participates in hearings and testifies as an expert witness. The Program Manager serves as an expert resource on policy, technology, market, and strategic issues as directed by the Division leadership and
coordinates the work of the branch with other branches in the Commission, state, federal, and local agencies, as well as other interested stakeholders and the public.

Working Conditions
The CEC supports a hybrid workplace model with office-based and remote- centered workers. Limited in-person attendance and occasional travel may be required based on the needs of the division. Regular and consistent attendance is essential to successful performance. This position is remote-centered, which means the incumbent works 50 percent or more of their time from an alternate work location.
