Job Summary:
As a Professional Development Specialist, you will be a vital part of our mission to improve instructional outcomes and facilitate learning transfer within the Central US. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate a network of advocates by providing key accounts with necessary implementation planning, training, and support to excel in their roles. By bridging the gap between instructional goals and real-world application, you will contribute to the growth and success of SMART Implementations
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Design and Delivery:
- Develop and implement training programs that align with our instructional goals and objectives.
- Create engaging and innovative training materials, both in-person and virtually.
- Conduct workshops and sessions to enhance the knowledge and skills of community members.
- Learning Transfer Facilitation:
- Design strategies and interventions to ensure effective learning transfer from training to practical application.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and community members to identify challenges and provide ongoing support for application success.
- Be a liaison between account stakeholders and various SMART teams.
- Ambassador and Trainer Community Building:
- Identify, recruit, and onboard ambassadors and certified trainers throughout the Central US.
- Nurture a sense of belonging and purpose among community members.
- Facilitate networking and collaboration opportunities to strengthen the community.
- Monitoring and Assessment:
- Collect and analyze data to measure the impact of training programs and make necessary improvements.
- Monitor the progress of ambassadors and trainers, providing feedback and guidance.
- Community Engagement and Events:
- Support events, conferences, and webinars to foster networking and knowledge sharing.
- Act as a liaison between the community and our organization, addressing concerns and needs.
Education and work experience
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Strong interpersonal, written,and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively. with a wide range of individuals and teams both locally and remotely.
- Experience and passion using ed-techin a K-12 setting.
- Experience in training educators on instructional tools.
- High degree of comfort presenting to large groups with diverse learning styles.
- Ability to present training material via webinars and other onlinemethods.
- Strong technology and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of education standards.
- Experience teaching adult learners.
- Strong technical skills.
- Strong pedagogical knowledge of best practices K-12.
Education:
- At least 3 years of K-12 classroom experience.
- Training Experience.
- Degree in Education.
Supervision
- This position does not have any direct reports.
Additional Details
- Travel up to 70% during peak training times.
- This rolerequires background checks to work within a school setting with teachers and students.
