Production Specialist/Supervisor (Day Shift) - $30.75/hr.
Who we are looking for:
Atkore, a recent recipient of a Great Place to Work© certification, for the 3rd year in a row, is currently searching for a Production Specialist/Supervisor for the Day shift - to be based out of Molalla, OR. Bi-lingual (Spanish-English) strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior success as a Production Specialist or equivalent position at Atkore International and experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
- Analyze and report department performance on production volume and quality
- Proactively identify and implement process and quality improvements and initiate corrective and/or preventive actions when out of compliance
- Coach and mentor shift leads
- Schedule and manage the production team within area of responsibility;
- Support/implement training programs to ensure employees are trained and in compliance with all procedures; coach and counsel to improve results, conduct ongoing performance appraisals
- Liaison with employees and management teams to identify ways to continually foster and promote a positive and safe work environment by direct involvement with all levels of employees
- Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments
- All other duties as assigned
What you'll bring:
- Bi-lingual Spanish-English strongly preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing is required,
- Management experience is a plus; MUST be a team leader with strong leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literacy and experience with Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations
- Ability to manage a variety of concurrent tasks in a fast-paced work environment
- Attention to detail, time management, planning, and organizational skills
- Effective decision making and problem solving abilities
- Strong initiative and adaptable to change
- Must be able to thrive in a team environment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Need to be detail oriented and have safe work practice

Within 3 months, you’ll:
- Complete any required training.
- Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
- Be well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
