Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Production Designer will create advertising for the automotive industry that will appear on multiple digital channels including social media and display for web and mobile devices. This role requires expertise of design applications, a strong understanding of researching and enforcing brand standards, and the ability to communicate and develop new ideas to elevate the creative department’s output.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design eye-catching digital creative using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator that meets campaign objectives and complies with specific brand guidelines
- Source images and assets from a variety of different sources including online portals, websites and internal drives
- Support organization of assets within our shared drive and Creative Cloud library
- Collaborate with internal departments including Customer Success Team, Sales and Marketing to complete design work for client campaigns
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Solid foundation in typography hierarchy, layout and digital design with an eye for detail
- Expertise of design applications including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Juggling multiple projects while effectively managing tight timelines
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate ideas, interpret feedback and provide solutions
- Strategic thinker with the ability to come up with new, creative solutions to business problems
PREFERRED:
- Understanding of digital channels (Facebook, Google, etc.) and the digital marketing space
- Experience producing work for large corporate clients
- Basic understanding of automotive industry and being able to spot the differences between specific makes, models, and trims of vehicles
EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ year working in a digital design role producing effective results (internships apply)
- Proficient use of industry software including: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat
- Established portfolio representing successful execution of design projects in a variety of media – digital preferred
Regard for established brand guidelines, brand integrity and consistency.
EDUCATION:
BFA or BA in Graphic Design or related field.
