Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager will provide leadership and coordination of property financial statements for a group of clients. The Accounting Manager leads a team of accountants and has regular interaction with clients and auditors. Together with the Assistant controllers, ensure accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for a specific team of accountants.
- Assists and ensures the delivery of financial statements within the required client delivery date and ensure the statements are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Communicates regularly with clients to discuss the financial performance of their properties and respond to accounting questions.
- Leads and develops accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Conducts performance reviews and provides mentorship to a team of accountants.
- Manages efficiency and makes staffing recommendations in order to meet expected performance metrics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor and/or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA Eligible or CPA Preferred
- Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Deep understanding of financial concepts
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
- Multi-family or real estate experience required; Housing experience preferred

For individuals hired to work in Colorado, Asset Living is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and includes the range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; etc. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would be near the top end of the compensation range, but that decision will be dependent on the facts associated with each specific individual's relevant experience for the role. A reasonable estimate of the range is $75,000 - $110,000.
