Accounting Manager

Job Description

Ghost Crew is currently searching for an organized and experienced Accounting Manager to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the President/Founder, this newly created position is poised to become a vital part of our infrastructure.

This is a full-time position and will require the candidate to provide operational accounting support to the clients of Ghost Crew’s sister companies (FTC Group, LLC and Summit Accounting Partners). The ideal candidate will be heavily involved with clients and must be comfortable moving between clients throughout the day. Our goal is for every client to feel as if they are our only client. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping/operational accounting and an understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities

• Manage work activities of the accounting team to ensure accounting responsibilities are maintained.
• Train accountants on Ghost Crew practice, policy and procedures, accounting standards and adherence to compliance standards
• Review and approve all journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by accounting staff.
• Assist with month end close duties and associated journal entries.
• Review accruals, prepaids and other accounts to maintain GAAP based financials, as required.
• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Account reconciliations and balance sheet roll forwards for assigned accounts.
• Review sales, occupational, and specialized sales tax returns.
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Perform steps required to reconcile complex bank data, as needed.
• Audit financial transactions and documents.
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and assist with maintaining remote databases.
• Comply with financial policies and regulations.
• Assist in special projects and/or other areas, as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a master’s in accounting or CPA preferred
• 8 - 10 years accounting related experience and at least 3 years of supervisory experience
• Confidence in skills and ability to see a problem and work toward a resolution.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills as well as attention to detail
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong reconciliation and review skills
• Leadership abilities to guide and train junior staff.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year
