Freelance Production Designer

We are Envisionit, an award-winning integrated digital marketing agency. We’re seeking a Freelance Production Designer to support our creative team in bringing integrated campaigns to life. The Production Designer is the swiss army knife of our creative process, bringing a blend of design vision and technical expertise to help us launch our work into the world. With a razor sharp attention to detail, superior organization skills, and a finger on the pulse of digital marketing trends, we look to this role to produce visually compelling work that resonates with audiences and aligns with strategic objectives. Ideally, the person in this role brings a strong understanding of B2B digital marketing and lead generation design best practices to hit the ground running.

We are headquartered in Chicago and have a beautiful office overlooking Millennium Park and Lake Michigan in a hybrid work environment model. We’re open to local or remote candidates, with a time commitment of 20-30 hours per week, and a potential to increase scope.

Here’s a sneak peek of what you’ll do in a typical day:

• Ad Resizing & Formatting: Efficiently resize and format digital ads for a variety of platforms and devices, ensuring visual consistency and quality across all media

• Presentation Design: Create compelling presentation layouts that communicate ideas clearly and reinforce our client’s thought leadership and expertise

• Lead Generation Design: Develop visually appealing layouts for lead generation materials such as white papers, that drive engagement and conversion

• Image Selection & Resizing: Curate and manipulate images to support campaign themes and objectives, ensuring they meet quality and brand standards

• Ad Template Versioning: Manage and version ad templates for various campaigns, ensuring that all iterations are on-brand and optimized for performance

• Email Design: Craft visually stunning email designs based on approved templates that enhance user experience and drive open and click-through rates

• Social Ad Creation: Design creative and engaging social media ads that capture attention and promote interaction

What we’re looking for:

• 3-6 years experience as a Production Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital designs

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (experience with After Effects and basic motion design capability is a huge plus)

• Flexibility to work across long- and short-form creative assets as well as multiple platforms, social channels, email platforms, and familiarity with email design tools and social media platforms

• Strong understanding of branding, layout, color theory, and typography in digital media

• Ability to collaborate with creative directors and other designers, as well as work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality design work

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
