Gulf Coast Animal Eye Clinic seeks a full-time Veterinary Practice Manager. We currently have five doctors and two Houston locations. We have a staff of just under 20 split between the locations. We are privately owned and have been since 1987. In 2022, Jamie Herrmann and Lynsey Wagner purchased the practice from Kohle Herrmann and Jim Swanson. The family atmosphere remains unchanged.
Our Campbell Road location is located in the heart of the Memorial area of Houston. This is a very sought-after area with highly-rated schools and all the amenities you could ask for. This practice is approximately 5000 sq. ft.
Our Bay Area location (Gulf Freeway) is located in a 10,000 sq. ft. multispecialty clinic. We have dedicated exam rooms and our own surgical suite. The ophthalmology team works closely with critical care, internal medicine, cardiology, and surgery to provide top-notch patient care. Patients also benefit from a CT scan and fluoroscopy. This location serves suburbs such as League City, Friendswood, Clear Lake, and the beach town of Galveston.

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Practice Manager with exceptional leadership abilities. The perfect candidate will have a veterinary background and strong people management skills.
Must haves:
- 3 years of experience in management and growth of a healthcare-related business. (Practice Mgr/ Operations experience)
- Proven background in creating and growing a positive organizational culture through leadership and collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
- Must have veterinary background and preferably CVPM certification.
- Highly skilled at communication/feedback/ follow- through

Marketing:

Organizational Health:
- Develop and continuously update a training manual for the client service representative and technicians
- Ensure practice compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations
- Oversee training and development of Safety and OSHA Training programs
- Maintain DEA and CE compliance, manage accounts receivable, and oversee maintenance and housekeeping standards
- Manage special projects, financial reporting, budgets, and vendor relationships
- Communicate effectively with the accounting team and oversee IT management
Experience as a licensed veterinary technician (LVT) or certified veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) is ideal but not required. SHRM-CP, BS, MBA or other advanced degree, are a plus.
