about the job

A multi-functional role that spans strategic, operational and technical leadership. 


Initially focusing on Assets, this opportunity is for a special someone that doesn’t fit neatly into a single predefined box. As a go-getter, you want to marry your senior-level digital strategy experience and AEM technical expert knowledge to build a practice from playbook creation through successful customer delivery.  Working closely with our VP Service Delivery and VP Sales,  you’ll be the master behind the co-creation of our AEM Assets offering. This  includes the initial build and iterations of our delivery playbooks, influencing and aligning with pre-sales activity, education and empowerment of our existing team, development and oversight of technical delivery personnel (sourced and/or staffed)  and delivery excellence to a defined outcome that sees our customers impressed and empowered. Role Responsibilities: 

Leadership: 

  • Support WNDYR to build and document the ideal high performance collaborative team through defining and iterating an effective and scalable offering
  • Provide mentorship, guidance and support to new hires through onboarding to ongoing support on complex implementation issues
  • Lead the team in identifying , capturing, and distributing knowledge and standard methodologies with clients, partners and colleagues via direct interaction and Adobe communities
  • Work closely with the sales organization to define pre-sales collateral supporting our offering, scoping and engineering results driven solutions and product demos where appropriate
  • Own P&L with specific ownership of AEM practice

Digital Asset Management (DAM) Strategist: 

  • DAM Strategist: 
    • Lead through deep expertise in Digital Asset Strategy, Library Science and Asset Management
    • Effectively analyze complex project issues, identify gaps, and the possible solution options, along with facilitating the presentation and review of the options and our recommended solution with the client
    • Define and configure Metadata & Taxonomy in AEM to meet our customer’s objectives
    • Promote Successful Asset & System Governance
  • Quality Consulting: 
    • Design and deliver consulting services to our customers
    • Collaborate within the customer’s organization to develop its digital asset management strategy and vision
    • Lead the implementation champions to ensure that all digital assets are successfully migrated, with accurate metadata uploaded into the DAM system. 
    • Work with business and technical team leaders on metadata, taxonomy structure, tagging, implementation and rollout of DAM, along with the upload and organization of assets, troubleshooting, and training
    • Collaborate with Workfront consultants to design and deliver  seamless, integrated digital workflow customer experiences that are uniquely informed by customer requirements

AEM Delivery Technical Director:

  • Oversee, co-ordinate & where appropriate directly deliver against the following:
    • AEM Integration: Integrate AEM Assets with the core AEM platform and third party systems and tools to ensure seamless asset management capabilities.
    • Customize AEM DAM to meet the specific needs of our customers, including creating custom workflows, metadata schemas, and user interfaces.
    • Manage the ingestion process of digital assets into AEM, ensuring proper tagging and efficient organization.
    • Work with metadata to facilitate searchable and retrievable assets. 
    • Set up and manage asset transcoding to accommodate various formats and resolutions for different devices and screen sizes.
    • Create and configure workflow automation for asset approval, publishing, and archiving to streamline asset management processes.
    • Optimize the performance of AEM Assets to ensure fast and efficient asset retrieval and delivery.
    • Implement security measures to protect digital assets and control access.
    • Configure AEM to deliver assets to web pages and digital channels, ensuring they are displayed correctly and efficiently.
    • Manage asset versioning and history to track changes and enable rollbacks when necessary.


what you need

Technical Skills:

  • Proven 8+ years of relevant experience:  
    • Gathering and analyzing business needs and translating them into actionable technical requirements
    • AEM Assets technical direction or leadership, with in-depth knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager, architecture native capabilities and customization potential
    • DAM Strategist, Content Librarian, Taxonomist and/or Product Owner 
    • Customer Consulting
  • Understanding or experience in using productized APIs, SaaS, SOA, Cloud Services, and Content Management Systems
  • Experience with developing requirements for metadata taxonomy, interfaces, integrations, and production data migrations
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field (degree can be substituted with relevant working experience).

Consulting Skills:

  • Strong presentation skills, including experience of presenting complex ideas in an easy to understand manner to all levels in an organization, both virtually and in person
  • Ability to effectively lead through change; setting clear expectations, building enthusiasm while navigating and addressing the “noise” of potential detractors
  • Can think strategically on your feet to navigate the unexpected and not allow it to derail progress
  • Crowd Control; comfortable leading diverse stakeholder groups with sometimes competing priorities; bringing focus, control and alignment around complex decisions
  • Can easily identify opportunities for growth for the company

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation
  • Relational people skills; empathetic, warm, giving - eager to help
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to problem-solve while building and maintaining strong working relationships with customers
  • Ability to both receive and give constructive feedback with objectivity and an open-mind
  • A high degree of flexibility, team spirit, accountability and independence
  • Availability to work flexible hours supporting our global customer base

Wow Factors:

  • Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in AEM is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience with additional SaaS Enterprise Work Management tools such as Adobe Workfront
  • Startup environment experience and the ability to work remotely (virtual teams)
  • Experience building a functional department from the ground up

Working conditions/ physical requirements

Typical office environment, generally sedentary position using computers, phones, and other office equipment. This position works in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment. The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships, and reason through complex business situations is essential.
