Practice Manager
Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care and satisfaction.
- Utilize electronic health record system (Athena) to manage patient records and appointments.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and managed care organizations for utilization management and claims processing.
- Assist administrators with project management
- Monitor and analyze practice financials, including revenue, expenses, and budgeting.
- Implement strategies to optimize practice revenue and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for staff and patients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field.
- Previous experience in a managerial role within a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Athena or similar electronic health record systems.
- Familiarity with utilization management processes and managed care contracts.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Note: Experience in billing, A/R, Athena, and practice management is required.
