- GHG Project Management:
- Develop and execute strategies to support meeting PepsiCo’s Positive Agriculture goal of a 40% reduction in GHGs by 2030 and net-zero by 2040 in PFNA Potato.
- Collaborate with external potato producers, sustainability experts, and internal PepsiCo team members to build strategic protocols for acceleration of GHG outcomes.
- Data Analysis and Communication:
- Analyze GHG data trends in PFNA Potatoes.
- Generate internal and external reports, communicating key findings and refining roadmaps from GHG projects.
- Utilize a data-first approach in prioritizing on-farm practices to focus on for optimization.
- Grower Performance and Sustainable Practices:
- Develop and implement programs to incentivize growers toward sustainable practices and GHG outcomes.
- Accelerate GHG reductions and removals through strategic initiatives.
- Nutrient Stewardship Strategy:
- Create a 4R nutrient stewardship program for PFNA potatoes.
- Educate growers on Best Practices, collaborate with industry partners, and accelerate the commercialization of new low-carbon nutrient sources.
- Budget Management:
- Manage AOP budgets for all sustainability projects within the PFNA Potato Team.
- Ad-hoc Support:
- Support of broader Positive Agriculture dimensions may be in-scope for this role given sustainable crop production knowledge and expertise.

- The expected compensation range for this position is between $85,200 - $142,650 based on a full-time schedule
- Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually

Qualifications:
- Masters or PhD in Sustainable Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Ag Science, Food/Crop Systems or related fields of study
- Minimum 4-5 years of practical field agronomic experience in multi-crop systems, field extension, sustainable agriculture practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with all PFNA potato contract farmers regarding sustainability and whole-farm agricultural practices and management
- In-depth knowledge of sustainable fertilizer management specifically through the lens of the 4R nutrient stewardship program
- Knowledge of measurement tools in sustainability and regenerative ag systems (e.g. Cool Farm Tool)
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite products – preference, additional experience with data visualization products, Minitab, and other spreadsheet analytic tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skill with internal and external cross-functional partners
- Must have the indefinite right to work in the U.S.
- Effective technical communication skills at grower, commercial and technical industry community levels
- Proficient analytical, interpretation and presentation skills with commercial, research and survey data
- Ability to identify trends and correlations quickly and accurately in internal and external data sources
- Thorough knowledge of sustainable fertilizer management and strategies to minimize on-farm GHG footprints
- Experience with and demonstrated knowledge of electronic data acquisition and analysis
- Facilitation and Project Management experience
- Self-starter with strong drive for results and cross functional team leadership skills in a flexible work environment
- Ability to keep current on emerging research, trends and topics within Regenerative Agriculture
