Harbor Health looking for an adaptable Regional Practice Manager to become a member of our team! The Regional Practice Manager will be responsible for overseeing all of the administrative and business operations aspects of the practice(s) in a given Region. Duties include hiring employees, ensuring compliance with regulations and managing the budget of the practices. The Regional Director must work effectively with physicians, members, staff and public and external agencies, setting a standard of outstanding customer service. Additionally, this position identifies and develops strategic growth opportunities, monitors division performance, and works closely with other team members to develop competitive strategies in alignment with Harbor Health.

Our Regional Practice Manager will be responsible for:

  • Supports the day-to-day execution of the medical model by collaborating with and supporting clinicians to drive optimal clinical outcomes, utilizing efficient resource utilization.
  • Spends their time in patient areas ensuring every patient is provided with exceptional experience, leads by example and holds staff accountable to service delivery standards applying AIDET principles.
  • Lead by example – Acquire a first-hand knowledge of daily center operations and participate in center floor work on a routine basis.
  • Works with clinicians to support staff competency in regards to all patient care needs.
  • Works with leadership on all scheduling (including members, clinicians and staff) to ensure efficient and effective clinical support, optimal turnaround times and exceptional member experience.
  • Creates a professional and collaborative working environment with full colleague participation that promotes teamwork, quality, exceptional outcomes, and member safety.
  • Reviews Department and Clinical performance in relation to established goals, implementing changes to effect continual improvement in services provided; and ensures compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Responsible for provider template management; including creating, opening, closing, and monitoring of schedules. Evaluates provider panels and monitors provider productivity.
  • Responsible for P&L of managed clinics
  • Works with the Chief Operations Officer (COO), clinical, and support staffing levels and proficiencies that will optimize patient satisfaction, workflows, and efficiencies.
  • Develops colleague success through all aspects of the talent life cycle for center staff including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, orientation, mentoring/development, engagement, retention, performance management and succession planning.
  • Establish and implement effective workplace procedures, and ensure policies and best practices are up to industry standards and government regulations
  • Assign/delegate duties with follow up to ensure completion.
  • Oversee and guide Site Managers in ordering supplies, managing inventory, medications, and medical equipment, approving invoices and selecting and managing local vendors to minimize the cost of outsourced services.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience

Successful Regional Practice Manager's will have:

  • 7 years of Direct Management experience in the healthcare field.
  • Knowledge of health care delivery systems, statistical review skills, and data management skills.
  • Knowledgeable of State of Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) regulations, TDH and federal regulations governing claims payment, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff including physicians and Executive Management.

Additional Skills & Experiences Preferred include:

  • Experience creating and implementing operational analytics infrastructure
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts in the functions described above
  • Master’s degree

Physical Requirements of the role include:

  • Travel up to >50% of the time
