Our Risk Solutions team is currently seeking a Personal Lines Risk Solutions Consultant to support our Chicagoland territory.
This is a full time, exempt role. This position is eligible for a fully remote work arrangement that includes frequent travel within the Chicagoland area.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Personal Lines Risk Solutions Consultant role provides risk assessment support to Hanover's Personal Lines Prestige (aka High Value/High Net Worth) clients.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Perform on-site policy holder home inspections to evaluate risk and recommend services and solutions to mitigate risk.
- Consult with policy holders on risk management services such as proactive home maintenance, disaster preparedness, security, and loss mitigation aids.
- Identify cross sell opportunities for additional coverages such as Marine and Auto.
- Participate in innovation pilots with the Personal Lines Product team.
- Support risk management content generation by Personal Lines Marketing team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with policyholders and agents.
- Collaboration with Underwriting, Risk Solutions home office technical and field teams, PL Product, PL Claim and PL Marketing.
- Participate in association and industry relations activities including attending meetings and conferences representing company.
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:
- At least 4 years Risk Solutions/Loss Control field experience with a personal lines national/regional insurance carrier.
- Motivated self-starter with demonstrated initiative; ability to work independently.
- Building construction, homeowner, and marine insurance coverages, underwriting and claims experience.
- Superior analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment on multiple projects, tasks, or assignments.
- Results orientation.
- Superior communication skills, both oral & written.
- Motivated self-starter with demonstrated initiative; ability to work independently with minimal direction.
