Data Analytics Intern

The Holganix team is searching for a Data Analytics Intern to support our field data operations out of our Lenexa, Kansas office.

At Holganix, we revolutionize the way the world grows by manufacturing and distributing a liquid microbial solution (think of it as a probiotic for soil) primarily to farmers, but also landscapers, golf courses, and performance turf users, across America and Canada. Our solution dramatically increases soil health, ultimately improving crop yield and reducing the need for other inputs like fertilizer, pesticides, and water.

Job Requirements

• Utilize the Holganix software platform to upload, manage, and create field data, ensuring accurate and efficient data handling.
• Develop field boundaries for growers, using GIS tools to delineate specific areas for targeted analysis and management.
• Design and generate custom reports for stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
• Conduct in-field work, including the collection of soil and tissue samples, to gather primary data for analysis.
• Analyze collected data to identify trends, perform benchmarking against industry standards, and provide actionable insights for agronomic decision-making.
• Proficient understanding and experience with Data Analytics platforms, demonstrating the ability to handle large datasets and perform complex analyses.
• Must be willing to travel extensively to various field locations for data collection and analysis, showing flexibility and adaptability in different working environments.
• Preference will be given to candidates currently pursuing a degree in Agronomy, Data Science, or Software Engineering, showcasing a strong foundation in the theoretical and practical aspects of the role.
• Experience working in farming (family farms count!), turf management (mowing lawns counts!), golf course (a caddie counts!) is a plus but definitely not a requirement.
