What You Will Do
Ascension Medical Group along with Newland Medical Associates is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist.
The position is based in the Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital-Cancer Center in Rochester, Michigan.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital to provide Hematology/Oncology care for our patients.
Position Highlights:
- Practice has been in existence since 1982
- There are 11 Infectious Disease, 13 Hematology/Oncology and 2 Rheumatology physicians in the practice
- All physicians are involved in teaching and rounding with medical students, residents and fellows when on service
- The practice has offices in Southfield, Novi and Bingham Farms
- 85 support staff
- 32 plus chairs for chemotherapy and antibiotic infusions
- Salary and benefits negotiable
Responsibilities:
- Visits include new patients, consultations, follow-up visits and various infusions.
- Each physician spends a majority of their time seeing patients in the office, and the remainder of the time is spent covering inpatient consults at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital and other nearby hospitals on a rotating schedule.
- Weekend coverage is two weeks on and one week off.
- Weekly call is every other week.
Job Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
• Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Preferred Credential(s):
• BC Internal Medicine and BE/BC Hematology/Oncology.
• Interest in teaching and working with medical students, residents and fellows.
Education:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
