COVID-19 Impacts to Working at DOR
Accurately and timely process transactions for an assigned roster using the State Controller’s Office (SCO) and Personnel Management System (PMS) computer systems. Acts as liaison with attendance coordinators and serves as expert resource for employees, supervisors, and managers regarding a variety of attendance, payroll and personnel transactions issues based on the following job activities:
Employment History: Document and process appointment, separation and miscellaneous types of employment history transactions referencing applicable Government Codes, laws and rules, Departmental procedures, and control agency laws, rules, regulations, and manuals.
Payroll: Reconcile and certify master payroll; process intermittent payroll; calculate, request and clear salary advances; and prepare and issue accounts receivable notices to collect on various overpayments from employees. Coordinate the release of payroll with the Department’s Accounting Office. Process payroll deductions and direct deposits. Calculate lump sum and process all separations in a timely manner pursuant to laws and regulations. Process payroll supplementation/adjustment for employees on State Disability (SDI), Non-Industrial Disability (NDI), or Enhanced Non-Industrial Disability (ENDI) leave.
Attendance: Research and apply bargaining unit contracts, departmental and control agency laws, rules and procedures and State laws and rules pertaining to time and attendance (i.e., sick leave, annual leave/vacation, overtime, personal leave, compensating time off, administrative time off, educational leave, Family & Medical Leave, catastrophic leave program, etc.). Process NDI, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Catastrophic leave requests, including adjustments for retroactive actions.
Documentation: Ensure that the appropriate documentation is received prior to processing any type of transaction and that appropriate back-up documentation is filed appropriately for auditing purposes.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid telework option, in accordance with DOR’s telework policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required.
