Security Specialist- TS/SCI Required (This position will require a CI Poly once you are selected for the position)

Overall Assignment Description:

General knowledge of security practices with emphasis in personnel, physical and/or industrial security. Provide Personnel Security or industrial security expertise to support mission activities. Provide leadership with adjudicated eligibility of access nominations, ensure that entries into JPAS, PeopleSoft and Scatter Castles are updated and accurately reflect personnel clearances. Perform program indoctrinations, debriefing, and re-indoctrinations to all personnel requiring briefing or with programmatic questions. Interpret security policy on matters pertaining to processing, dissemination, and controlling of classified material. Prepare and disseminate security procedures/guidance, to include Operation Security plans and Classification Guides. Monitor and manage security operations using appropriate metrics and provide government with status reports and recommendations for decisions. Provide agency level technical expertise concerning the identified security disciplines and operations. Conduct and complete site assessments, coordinate annual site visits, new site installations and decommissioning of site. Act as liaison between NGA and other federal agencies and contractors.

Required Skills and Experience:

· Minimum of 7 years of relevant functional experience, including more than 3 years within DoD/IC

· Bachelors or equivalent experience in related field

· Proficient with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).

· Experience with updating and maintaining appropriate records (e.g. database and hardcopy) of security actions.

· Experience with conducting surveys and render impact statements or recommendations.

· Knowledge of preparing various forms of correspondence both classified and unclassified to internal and external customers.

· Experience in supporting security concepts, principles and practices to analyze and resolve difficult and complex security issues.

· Knowledge of investigating and preparing impact statements and providing recommendations on security/security violations.

· Experience with distinct functional or cross-functional security areas such as personnel, physical, industrial security; computer investigations; classification management; operational security; and security education

· Ability to work independently and closely with senior specialists or task leads.

Additional Qualifications:

· Must obtain DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification IAW DoD Manual # 3305.13M within 1 year of service start date

SAP Additional Qualifications:

· Monitor and manage Special Access Programs (SAP), SCI security programs and provide status reports and recommendations for decisions.

· Develop solutions to complex SAP and Compartmented Access Programs security issues and convey to internal and external customers.

· DoD SAP Security Manuals 5205.07 volumes 1-4, ICD 705

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
