The highly qualified individual plays a key role at Park Square Homes and will be responsible to meet or exceed business plan goal for homes started as communicated by executives. Ensure accurate reporting to management team; organize all aspects of permitting related to the pre-construction process. Act as the liaison between the local building departments and PSH pertaining to permits.
Other responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Order, compile, document, print and enter all data for the permit
- Daily data entry and follow up on missing documents or lot issues
- Check documents for accuracy (contact vendor if errors are found), finalize package for County/City submittal (including submittal check and courier transmittal sheet
- Monitor County/City websites for permit submittal status
- Monitor weekly starts
- Daily entry of Lot/Permitting Notes
- Maintain municipality’s files, order forms, lot folders, permitting info spreadsheets
- Completes permit application and NOC
- Coordinates the printing and signing with Engineer of Record
- Prepares permit packages/revision and address response to comments as necessary
- Notifies and communicates with construction as needed
- Keep, register, code, scan checks needed in permitting for accounting
- Registers payments, deposit and balancing of escrow accounts
- Pay all permit impact and utility fees
- Assisting with coding of permit invoices
Position Requirements:
- 1-3 year in new construction permitting preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Attention to detail and ability to work with strict deadlines
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Skilled in office machines: copier, facsimile, scanner
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
