Permitting Coordinator

The Permitting Coordinator is responsible for the permitting process from preparation and submittal of the required documents through the approval of the permit for single family construction starts. Additionally, the position involves coordinating initiation and connection of utilities (power, water, etc).

Full-time

Salary: From $34,000.00-37,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

· Order plans and other documents needed for permit submittal

· Prepare and accurately complete permit applications and related documentation

· Submit permits online and in person

· Address permit rejections issues in a timely manner

· Monitor and track permit progress, utility status, etc. using Excel

· Provide reports of permit status to management

· Communicate with team members and management to develop resolutions to avoid delays

· Compile construction start packages for construction managers

· Be proactive to ensure assigned projects progress smoothly and finish on time

· Coordinate payments through our accounts payable department by requesting checks or on-line payments

· Coordinate utilities (power, water, sewer or septic) and address any delays or obstacles

· Answer incoming calls and fill-in as needed at front desk

· Various clerical duties including maintaining permitting, housing and other files

Skills and Required Experience:

· One year of permitting experience

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel

· Detail-oriented team player comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with heavy volume workload

· Excellent follow up, communication (written and verbal) and time management skills

· Able to professionally perform multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines

Pay: $34,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
