Permit Coordinator/Tech
- Location: Orlando, Florida
- Department: Operations
- Pay: $15-25/hr depending on experience
Primary Purpose:
We are looking for a motivated Permit Coordinator/Tech to join our company. As our Permit Coordinator, you will be responsible for applying and scheduling permit inspection appointments and providing support to the permits.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be organized, efficient, and have practical problem-solving skills. You will be interacting with our customers daily and having a patient and respectful behavior is a must as you are representing our Garage Door company.

- Assist with preparation, submittal and maintenance of all applicable required permit applications including NOC.
- Maintain, tracking, routing, and scheduling of permits installations and permit inspection.
- Contacts customers to confirm scheduled permit inspections by performing within A1 policy, procedure, and customer service guidelines.
- Updates notes for all Installers in the client database to ensure that they have the information for the permit inspections.
- Assist with the management all documents and or documentation of all permits, inspections and usage turned over associated with the appropriate state department.
- Coordination with installer teams and individual installer, packet completion and delivery.
- Carries out other tasks as requested by management of which employee can perform.
- Plans/Organizes work activities and client information
- Willingness to travel as needed.

Knowledge:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Microsoft Office – Word and Excel
- Comprehensive and demonstrated computer/technical skill set
- Oral and written management disciplines.
- Experience in permitting, contractor registration / compliance and NOC process with local county and municipalities.
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively regardless of positive or negative situation; Responds well to questions.
- Be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer screen
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
- Must pass drug test, background check and motor vehicle check.
