Program: Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance (PEQA)
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000
Program Overview:
The Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance (PEQA) Department designs, implements, and manages Project Renewal's systems of performance measurement and management, quality assurance, and quality improvement. PEQA's objective is to enhance the agency's ability to achieve its mission by developing and facilitating processes that measurably improve the quality and effectiveness of our services and operations, and to support agency leadership in managing towards high performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Performance Analyst reports to the Director of Performance Measurement and Monitoring, and collaborates with a variety of programs to develop systems and tools to assist in evaluating program effectiveness and to facilitate continuous quality improvement efforts. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and publish organizational performance dashboards to a broad spectrum of internal stakeholders, including senior staff, program leadership, and frontline staff;
- Support development of performance indicators, outcome metrics, and data collection tools used by programs;
- Collaborate with program leadership and IT on design and development of new reports and dashboards to ensure that program staff and agency leadership have the information they need to make decisions;
- Utilize PowerBI for interactive data visualizations;
- Support preparation and facilitation of quarterly performance workshops, which inform strategic improvement of services and sharing of best practices;
- Conduct in-depth analyses to support agency initiatives, program planning, and respond to ad-hoc funder requests that require data and evaluation insight;
- Aggregate, analyze, and provide feedback on data from a variety of data collection and evaluation activities to evaluate program services and identify opportunities for improvement;
- Support evaluation activities through developing data collection tools, creating survey instruments, documenting processes, conducting relevant research;
- Lead trainings to assist program staff in understanding and implementing performance measurement and management systems and to ensure high quality data capture within those systems;
- Support other capacity building activities around data integrity, quality assurance, performance measurement and management, evaluation, and program planning;
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field, or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years' experience in program measurement and research in support of programs in health and human services;
- Strong quantitative skills, experience with data management and statistical software packages (Microsoft Excel, R, SPSS, etc.), knowledge of relational databases;
- Knowledge of performance measurement and management approaches;
- Experience in data visualization, information design, and business-intelligence software (Tableau, PowerBI);
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders;
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized, with excellent project management and organizational skills.
