Position Summary

HackerOne is seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented People Operations Generalist with strong US benefits and compliance expertise to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting our global workforce, focusing on US benefits administration, ensuring compliance, and streamlining people processes. As a People Operations Generalist, you will ensure a seamless employee experience, managing various people processes and upholding compliance with local laws and global policies. Your expertise in benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, policy management, and process improvement will contribute to our success as a global organization.

What You Will Do

  • US Benefits Administration:

    • Manage US Open Enrollment and ensure smooth execution and employee communication.

    • Collaborate with the broker to administer employee benefits, ensuring accuracy and equity across HackerOne.

    • Stay up-to-date on US benefits regulations like ACA (Affordable Care Act) and ensure compliance.

    • Manage and evolve our US wellness program to align with the company's benefits strategy and employee well-being initiatives.

  • Employee Lifecycle: Develop, automate, and administer comprehensive onboarding, offboarding, and internal mobility processes, policies, and automation. Ensure a positive employee experience and facilitate a smooth transition for new and departing employees.

  • Policy Management: Maintain up-to-date and compliant policies, with a focus on the North American region. Ensure policy consistency globally and stay current with local employment laws and regulations.

  • Project Tasks and OKR Support: Contribute to achieving organizational objectives through project administration and task execution.

  • Process Improvement and Automation: Continuously evaluate people processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement automation solutions. Act as a thought partner in driving process efficiency.

  • Administrative Excellence: Own and execute administrative tasks, such as onboarding, offboarding, leave management, employment verifications, data entry, data reporting and audits with precision, ensuring all mundane tasks are completed to a high standard.

  • Immigration and Relocation Management: Assist with immigration and relocation processes, ensuring compliance and a smooth transition for employees.

  • Shared Services: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, manage People Team tickets, and drive behavior change using our ticketing system.

  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain a documentation mindset, ensuring processes and communications are appropriately documented and shared on our intranet.

Minimum Qualifications

  • People Operations: Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role at a scaling organization

  • Benefits: Experience in global benefits administration, to include managing US Open Enrollment and wellness initiatives

  • Digital First: Experience working within a digital or remote-first operating model

  • Employment Law and Compliance: Familiarity with laws and compliance requirements globally, especially the United States.

  • Innovative People Initiatives: Experience collaborating, implementing or iterating on people-centric initiatives

  • Shared Services: Experience using a ticketing platform (we use FreshServices) to assist employees with HR-related grievances

  • Lean Team Experience: Ability to thrive in a lean team environment, being resourceful and adaptable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HRIS: Excellent understanding of administration and business process within Workday

  • Global HR Experience: Prior experience working with an Employer of Record (EOR) and managing employees outside of the United States.

    Compensation Bands:

  • Tier A $94.4K – $118K

  • Tier B $85K – $106.2K

  • Tier C $80.2K – $100.3K
