Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Advise managers and employees on employment best practices, proactively addressing issues
- Oversee employee benefits and broker administration, including negotiations and addressing inquiries
- Assist with employee relations and conflict resolution
- Manage leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance with FMLA and other regulations
- Oversee the workers' compensation processes, incident reporting, and return-to-work programs
- Collaborate with insurance carriers and healthcare providers for optimal claims processing
- Oversee COBRA administration, ensuring accurate and timely communication and compliance
- Provide guidance to employees on benefits continuation under COBRA
- Assist managers with goal setting and performance improvement plans
- Conduct exit interviews and manage offboarding procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive HR management experience.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships
- Positive attitude with the ability to approach challenges head-on
- Experience independently handling employee relations issues
- Demonstrated excellence in thriving in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience creating, iterating & implementing HR policies
- Experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment supporting exempt and non-exempt workforce
- Proven success as a consultative partner to engineering leadership and stakeholders
- Experience working within the aerospace industry
Additional Information:
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
