About the Role:
As a People Operations Generalist, you will play a key role in shaping and supporting our organization’s culture and people strategy. You’ll be at the forefront of creating an exceptional employee experience, fostering collaborations, and ensuring our team thrives in an evolving and challenging environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of an innovative healthcare tech startup.
Location: Philadelphia, Pittsburgh or the Greater DC area

What You’ll be Getting Into:

• Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment efforts including identifying staffing needs, sourcing, interviewing and vetting processes, and background checks
• Onboarding and Offboarding Employees: Lead the full spectrum of People Ops (HR) processes, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all team members
• Performance management: Lead the effort to develop a performance management process for salaried and hourly employees. Play a critical role in providing guidance to people managers and employees on performance-related matters
• Culture and engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance organizational culture, employee engagement, and overall workplace satisfaction
• Policy and Procedure: Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures that align with industry best practices, legal requirements, and organizational culture, ensuring a clear framework for employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and other key HR functions
• Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant labor laws and industry regulations to ensure the organization’s policies and practices are compliant

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in People Operations (HR) with a focus on generalist responsibilities
• Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws and compliance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience using HRIS and ATS applications (we currently use Rippling and JazzHR)

Bonus Points:

• Experience in the healthcare or healthcare tech industry
• Familiarity with startup culture and dynamics
• Experience with Google Workspace and collaboration tools like Slack
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification
