Are you searching for a full time Payroll/Administrative position and enjoy multitasking? As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for accurately processing the payroll for all employees within the organization as well as assist with some administrative duties.
POSITION –Payroll/Administration Specialist
JOB LOCATION –Grafton, WI
STARTING DATE –Immediate
EMPLOYMENT TERM –Temp-to-Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE –Full Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) –1st shift (7am-3pm, flexible)
STARTING PAY –$21-24/hr

REQUIRED EDUCATION –Degree preferred or relevant experience
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE –2 years previous payroll experience or degree preferred

Payroll/Accounting
- ·Adhere to payroll processing schedules and procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
- ·Responsible for the maintenance of earnings and deductions in the payroll system.
- ·Research employee payroll problems and answer general employee questions concerning payroll and timekeeping.
- ·Assist Controller with month-end journal entries and reconciliations for payroll and benefits related general ledger accounts.
- ·Assist in internal and external audits including workers compensation and annual financial audit.
- ·Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, including identifying required payments.
- ·Collection of data for and preparation of government surveys.
- ·Other general accounting functions and tasks as requested by and under the direction of the site Controller
Administration
- ·Support site leadership team
- ·Coordinate and schedule meetings, support site communications, and answer phones
- ·Support travel arrangement for leadership team
- ·Create and develop word documents, excel spread sheets, and PowerPoint presentations.This includes typing and designing general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc.
- ·Support general administrative / organizational needs
- ·Schedule and organize company activities as requested.
- ·Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- ·Degree in Accounting
- ·2+ years’ practical payroll experience in a manufacturing environment; or in accounting service centers for multiple locations, sound understanding of accounting principles.
- ·Ability to learn different accounting systems and software
- ·Competent in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- ·Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP
- ·Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments to complete them on time
- ·Strong analytical and communication skills
- ·Ability to perform multiple tasks in a restricted period of time
- ·Ability to take initiative in process improvement.
