About the Payroll Specialist: The candidate that will prosper in this role will be smart, dedicated, customer service driven, and willing to think outside of the box!
What you will be doing:
- Perform daily payroll department operations such as but not limited to new hire paperwork, employee reimbursements, verification of employment requests and STD requests.
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Ensures 401k deduction reports reconcile between payroll processing system and 401k administrator on a bi-weekly basis.
- Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.
- Supports yearly audits and coordinate month-end processing of reports, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Generate bi-weekly and monthly reporting for Human Resources and Operations.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Ideally 2 years of experience processing payroll or administrative experience.
- Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
Customer Service minded professional with a desire to build relationships both internally and externally.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel.
