The Payroll Manager is responsible for managing the accurate and timely processing of multi-company payrolls in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and Company polices as well as providing leadership and management to payroll staff.  Payrolls are processed in-house using the UltiPro payroll system; payroll taxes are processed using Ceridian Tax Services.

Payroll Manager job responsibilities include:

• Responsible for managing the accurate and timely processing of multi-company payrolls in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and Company polices. This includes managing, developing, and training the payroll team. 
• Subject matter expert for payroll system upgrades, implementations and related testing.
• Manage third party relationships with payroll and tax providers (Ultipro, Timeforce and Ceridian)
• Act as lead for agency tax audits, in addition to internal and external audit compliance
• Responsible for coordinating activities related to period-end close, including verifying journal entries and reconciliations are approved according to Company policies and are accounted for and maintained per Records Management policies.
• Manage special payroll processes to bonuses, stock vests, dividend payments, relocation, etc.

Position Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study preferred.
• 5 to 7 years payroll related experience/ training; or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
• Payroll experience must include multi-state and preferably union payroll processing and related taxes and benefits in high volume environment (1,000+ employees). Includes experience and skills in successfully resolving payroll tax issues with federal, state, and local tax authorities.
• Experience with Ultipro Payroll strongly preferred, along with experience with Ceridian Payroll Tax Services. Thorough knowledge of payroll systems, especially in-house systems hosted externally.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of payroll and general accounting principles and applicable laws, regulations, and practices. This includes experience with: processing garnishments, child support, levies, etc.
• Solid proficiency with Excel and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products.

Your Compensation:

$92,552 - $120,296/yr. based upon relevant experience.
