Spark Dental Management is a Dental Support Organization dedicated to expanding access to quality dental care for children and adults for over 60 practices across six states. We're committed to providing the highest level of business and operational support, allowing our affiliated dental care teams to focus on patient-centered care. We're growing and have a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Coordinator.
As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting multistate payroll for about 1000 employees under the guidance of the Payroll Manager. Your duties will include calculating wages and salaries, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining accurate records, and responding to employee inquiries.
Your work allows Spark Dental Management to ensure employees are paid timely and accurately for their work - so our Dental offices can do their magic and we can continue with our mission - add a Spark to everyone's Smile!
Location: This is a remote position
Schedule: 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday
What You Will Do
- Process multi-company bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Audit employee changes entered into HRIS system and process pay items such as retro pay and bonuses, process benefit deduction corrections
- Ensure compliance with company policy and FLSA
- Enter garnishments in HRIS system and send EE notification letter
- Work with managers to resolve timecard discrepancies and provide documentation upon request
- Responds to payroll inquiries and helps to resolve payroll discrepancies
What You Will Need
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Prior experience with Payroll/HRIS and Time and Attendance systems
- Base knowledge of local, state, and federal tax laws related to payroll
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- Prior experience in Adobe, creating and saving PDF files
- Prior experience with garnishments preferred
- Knowledgeable in Excel, ideal candidate will understand functions such as formulas, pivot tables, and v-lookups
- Must be a team player who is willing to learn and grow in this position
