**Payroll Coordinator**
**Duties:**
- Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy of data
- Calculate and process employee benefits, taxes, and deductions
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee information
- Assist with year-end payroll activities and reporting
**Skills:**
- Proficient in governmental accounting principles and practices
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and double-entry bookkeeping
- Familiarity with human resources processes related to payroll
- Experience using Homebase or similar payroll software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Knowledge of accounting software and general ledger accounting
- Understanding of tax regulations related to payroll processing
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational and time management skills
