Job Description
This is an hourly part-time position, working four days a week.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists the Human Resources Manager with Human Resources and payroll functions and high-priority projects.
- Enters, maintains, and processes information in the HRIS system; information may include employee personal, compensation, benefits, and employment information.
- Assists with payroll processing and reconciliation to the general ledger and monthly bank statements, ensuring accuracy.
- Creates and distributes reports of time management, employee payments, benefits, and Human Resources processing paperwork weekly.
- Assists with processing unemployment claims.
- Assists with New Hire Orientation and paperwork, office tasks, filing, and other functions as needed.
- Processing all the above tasks while maintaining confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll and HRIS software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred.
- At least six months of experience in payroll is preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
