Payroll Coordinator / Processor - West Houston (The role is fully onsite in the office)

Seeking a Payroll Processor/Coordinator to perform payroll activities and ensure the timely and accurate payment of (W2) employee wages. Ensure the collection of all necessary information and documents, compute wages, investigate and resolve any payroll issues and discrepancies.
As a successful Payroll Processor/Coordinator, this role will work on a team and work efficiently to coordinate payroll tasks and follow company policies and legal regulations. An outstanding Payroll professional will also possess strong "people skills."
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Process payroll (weekly and semi-monthly) for W2 employees in multiple locations
- Reconcile discrepancies of payroll data such as timecards, leave requests, and payroll deductions, to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to submitting payroll for processing
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll questions
- Keep up with PTO tracker as it related to payroll
- Check timesheets for accuracy
- Handle direct deposit requests
- Process wage garnishments
- Make adjustments in pay raises, bonuses, and commissions
- Reconcile monthly invoices and ensure timely payment processing
- Have current knowledge of payroll related State, Federal and company policies and procedures
- Maintain data integrity in payroll records
- Assist the Payroll Manager and peers as requested doing delegated tasks and duties.
- Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 2 - 5+ years total related Payroll experience preferred with 2+ years of corporate payroll experience, to include hourly, salary and commissioned employees
- Must have multi-state, W2 payroll experience
- Must have at least 3+ years of hands-on experience running full-cycle payroll on HRIS platform such as ADP, Paylocity or similar software platform for payroll and onboarding
- Experience in payroll and benefits administration
- Accurate data entry skill with strong attention to detail
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain courteous and professional relationships with employees and executives
- Must be detailed oriented, organized, and efficient in completing related tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
