The Payroll Coordinator responsibilities will encompass a broad range but the main goal will be to ensure that employees receive their pay correctly. This role will handle all aspects of the payment process, from tracking employees' time to running regular and off cycle payrolls.
Core Responsibilities
- Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
- Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions.
- Responsible for responding to employee tickets with payroll questions with a customer service mindset
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience as a Payroll Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
