Nobis Rehabilitation Partners is in high growth mode and looking for a Payroll Assistant. The Payroll Assistant will aid in maintaining timecards and payroll files to ensure pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Nobis Rehabilitation Partners is in high growth mode and looking for a Payroll Assistant. The Payroll Assistant will aid in maintaining timecards and payroll files to ensure pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to hours worked.
- Maintain employee’s benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Monitors compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Assist in processing biweekly payroll for employees.
- Partner with HR and Accounting for reporting needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
- Knowledge of multi-state legislation, policies, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Paycor is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Fundamental Payroll Certification is a plus.
- Two plus years of related experience.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames
