Payroll/Benefits Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Payroll/Benefits Assistant to join our growing team! You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our payroll and benefits administration. Your responsibilities will encompass processing payroll, assisting with benefits enrollment, and providing exceptional customer service to our employees.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS / REPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Processing:
- Collect and meticulously verify employee timecards, leave requests, and other data for accurate payroll calculations.
- Ensure proper deductions for taxes, benefits, and other withholdings in accordance with legal guidelines.
- Process payroll according to a set schedule, guaranteeing timely and accurate employee payments.
- Analyze payroll reports to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist employees with understanding and enrolling in company-offered benefits such as health insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
- Process paperwork for initial benefits enrollment and any subsequent changes throughout the year.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefit records within the company's database.
- Answer employee questions and provide clear guidance on various benefits programs.
Other Duties:
- Prepare reports on payroll and benefits data as needed.
- Assist the HR department with additional administrative tasks related to payroll and benefits.
- Stay updated on relevant federal and state laws and regulations governing payroll and benefits.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative support experience.
- Payroll processing and benefits administration support a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a proficiency in mathematics.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to clearly explain complex payroll and benefits information to employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Payroll/Benefits software (a plus).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding employee information
- ADP Knowledge a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
