Acara Solutions is looking for a Payroll/Accounting Administrator with ADP experience for one of our clients in Van Nuys, CA.
Schedule: Monday
-Friday 9am
-6pm (The client is comfortable if you want to come in earlier)
Job Duties:
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of financial information. Maintain the credibility and integrity of the Company's general ledger by managing the payroll process, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting Treasurer with payment processing. Assist the Controller and Accounting Manager in providing analysis and compliance work for internal and external parties.
DUTIES AND :
- Perform full cycle payroll accounting:
- Ensure payroll information is properly set up.
- Enter payroll information into payroll software.
- Maintain and reconcile files.
- Update payroll systems including hires, terminations, manual checks, adjustments, etc.
- Generate payroll reports.
- Tend to payroll related inquiries.
- Prepare month end payroll journal entries.
- Support annual review and distribution of W
-2s. - Coordinate reporting and reconciliation of payroll information for workers' compensation.
- Assist with various month end closing journal entries.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
- Assist with treasury functions.
- Prepare trend analysis and provide insight.
- Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules for the financial statements and footnotes disclosures.
- Assist with the annual 401k administration and audit in conjunction with external auditor.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge of payroll processes and regulations.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with ADP or other full
-service payroll processor required. - Experience with SAP is beneficial.
