As a Payroll Analyst at BMC, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, maintaining payroll records, analyzing payroll data and providing overall support for all payroll functions within the US and Canada, while being compliant with various taxing authorities. This role will assist areas, the Global Severance Process (GSP) program and Global Mobility (immigration, relocation, and tax services).
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
* Process payroll, commissions, discretionary pay (bonus and benefits), in accordance with local rules.
* Research and respond to all inquires from employees, managers and internal/external sources providing input and guidance resolution on all payroll related matters.
* Audit payroll calculations performed by vendor to ensure accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and provincial payroll regulations and tax laws.
* Understanding the various rules of each taxing jurisdiction and conduct research on issues that arise.
* Act as liaison between various functional areas within BMC and local payroll providers.
* Assisting in preparing data for GSP Reporting.
To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
* 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing. International payroll a plus, but not required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various payroll software programs - strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
* Must demonstrate a commitment to upholding confidentiality standards and adeptly managing sensitive information.
* Knowledge of local country social security, taxes and employment legislation.
* Experience working with various payroll outsourcing vendors.
* Strong analytical skills to assimilate and organize large amounts of data from various sources to ensure reporting is accurate and complete.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel; formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables; ADP platforms a plus.
