Senior Accountant

Essential Functions:
* Lead month-end tasks and identify and prepare journal entries for assigned area.
* Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
* Ensure financial statements are accurate.
* Apply generally accepted accounting principles.
* Provide guidance to the field on accounting matters.
* Identify, explain, and communicate variances and the drivers behind them.
* Perform trend and account analysis, reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare journal entries, and prepare PBC schedules.
* Assist with external and SOX audits.
* Provide exceptional customer services to internal customers.
* Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of experience
* Ability to effectively work with different management levels and personalities.
* Skills in relationship-building, teamwork, and collaboration.
* Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and a continuous improvement mind-set.
* Strong working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
* Comfortable with routinely shifting demands.
* Working knowledge of general office equipment.
* Ability to prioritize projects and execute and deliver key objectives in a timely manner under tight deadlines.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-oriented environment.
* Meticulous attention to detail, self-motivated, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
