NVR Inc. - the parent company of Ryan Homes, NVHomes and Heartland Homes - is seeking a detail oriented and self-motivated Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll Team in our Pittsburgh, PA office. The Payroll Team collaborates with other departments and employees across the company in processing payroll of NVR's 6,000 employees.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support full cycle payroll processing of weekly, biweekly and monthly schedule
- Assist with federal, state and local tax filings and update employee's federal, state, and local tax withholdings
- Maintain and update employee records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, promotions, classification changes, time reporting, etc.
- Generate new hire I-9 reporting and review new hire I-9's
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Address employee's pay-related questions timely and provide accurate payroll information
- Complete requests for pay-related documents and information
- Respond to employment verification requests
- Complete unemployment claims
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience processing high volume payroll using payroll software for data entry, processing and inquiry
- Knowledge of and prior work experience with multi-state and local taxes strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines as required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- PDS Vista Payroll system experience is a plus
