Payroll Administrator-30 hours per week
Location: Ledgewood, NJ
Initially, the position will be in office. Once up and running, it can transition to one day per week in the office.
As the Payroll Administratoryou will be in charge of administering the accurate and timely payroll process on a weekly basis through the Paylocity system. You will manage issuing paychecks, direct deposits, benefits withholding, payroll deductions, garnishments, reports, payroll summaries, W-2s, wage and hour law compliance, and paid leave, vacation and sick time reporting.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data
- Reviewing and adjusting timesheets for accuracy and allocating time to job numbers.
- Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, reimbursements, exemptions and saving deductions.
- Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee and employer payroll queries.
- Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.
- Processing W-2 forms through the Paylocity system
- Performs all such related and non-related duties as may be assigned from time to time
- Perform various administrative duties within the HR department
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or equivalent.
- College degree preferred, but not required; relevant experience will be considered.
- Three to five years’ experience in payroll required.
- Expert knowledge of Paylocity preferred.
- Knowledge of wage withholding orders.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based applications, and proficient in the use of office equipment.
- Advanced excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to initiate and maintain working relationships with all levels of staff and customers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
