Founded in 2000, PATHS, LLC offers a broad range of account receivable management, patient advocacy, and consultation services to assist the needs of our healthcare clients. PATHS, LLC is currently seeking a full-time Human Resources and Payroll Administrator to coordinate the administration of human resources policies, programs, practices and procedures; as well as administration of the company’s time and attendance and Payroll systems.
DUTIES
Human Resources Administration
- Responsible for managing employee relations, employee inquires, complaints, compensation, training, compliance programs and company policies and procedures
- Assist and support HR Recruiter with recruitment efforts; including conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews and interviewing applicants
- Assist and support HR Recruiter with pre-hire and new-hire processes; including drug screens, background and education verification checks
- Coordinates onboarding, new employee orientation, employee enrollment in payroll and completion of all necessary forms and documentation
- Participates in benefits administration; including open enrollment, changes, terminations, COBRA and billing/invoice reconciliations
- Responsible for leave administration; determine eligibility, prepares and delivers necessary paperwork for FMLA, STD, LTD, ADA, Worker’s Compensation claims, etc.; tracks paperwork and attendance throughout the process
- Responsible for employment verifications and VOE employee letter requests
- Coordinate employment separation process; completes separation checklists and unemployment documentation, termination letters, benefit termination and COBRA process
- Manage employee communications by creating announcements postings and general communications as approved by the HR Director
- Coordinate employee handbook policy and procedure updates and monthly newsletter; maintain updates to Portal Site
- Coordinate quarterly and annual background checks
- Daily coordination with HR Coordinator and Director to ensure department efficiency
- All other duties as assigned
Payroll Administration
- First point of contact for all managers for time & attendance and Payroll. Address inquiries with managers where necessary to confirm staff details or other issues related to payroll
- Responsible for ensuring 100% accurate and reliable payroll services which ensure all employees receive their pay on time and error free
- Prepare biweekly payroll. Review and approve time cards, make personnel payroll changes and updates as needed, and coordinate with payroll provider for various payroll updates
- Maintains employee attendance records and Payroll files, including records of health insurance, payroll deductions, workers’ compensation and unemployment claims
- Responds to employee inquiries relating to pay, leave entitlements, form completion with a high degree of professionalism and customer service
- Maintains and reconciles employee time off accruals, including payouts and leave adjustments
- All other payroll duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum high school diploma or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred. Equivalent education and experience considered.
- 3-5 years human resources, payroll and/or administrative experience
- Familiarity with HRIS, specifically Paychex Flex a plus
- Knowledge of applicable employment and leave laws (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds and personalities
- Detail oriented, able to multitask in a fast pace environment and ability to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, and Excel
Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm or 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Starting pay rate is $22.00 per hour. Negotiable base on experience and education.
