Payroll/Accounting Specialist

(steps 1-10) Typical hiring range is $4,150-$4,532/monthly (depending on experience). Position will receive annual raises of 4.5% up to the top step.

Visions is seeking a Payroll/Accounting Specialist who will perform a variety of complex and technical payroll and accounting related duties in the Fiscal Department. Work involves administration and preparation of employee payroll records and related payments and withholdings. Applies applicable rules and regulations to insure correct payments and records. Resolves payroll related issues. This position may perform account reconciliation and analysis, maintenance of control systems on various budget accounts, and other duties as assigned.

In general, this position will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days at our office in Carmichael, CA and 2 days remotely. However, depending upon the needs of the department this schedule is subject to change.

• Education or training in bookkeeping, accounting, or business.

OR

• 3 years of experience with increasing responsibilities in financial recordkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, or similar clerical positions.
