Grandville Foot and Ankle is looking for an individual who is a responsible, self-motivated, and a fast learner who loves to help others through amazing customer service! Our main goal is to give a great experience from the moment someone walks through the door or talks to us on the phone. The Patient Care coordinator is a position that helps our office build relationships with our patients. This position is very rewarding and the support from our business is ready to set you up for success!
We are looking for someone to work approximately 34 hours per week from 7:30-5/5:15pm each day Monday through Thursday with an hour lunch break. End time may vary minimally depending on when last patient leaves our office for the day and tasks are complete.
Starting wage is $16/hour for training to start with a pay increase to $17 at approximately 90 days and then a raise to $18 by 6 months. Additional pay raises to follow based on performance. Team bonuses are sometimes given throughout the quarter and you will automatically qualify for those upon hire.
Once you are with us for 6 months, you gain holiday pay as well as accrued vacation and many other benefits. Unfortunately at this time, we do not offer health insurance.
What will be some of your daily tasks? (see below)
1. Greet patients with a smile as they walk in the door
2. Answer phones; retrieve and respond to patient requests
3. Data entry including patient demographics, insurance, miscellaneous notes, payments and other related information. Understanding how insurance works.
4. Use printer/fax machine to print, receive, and send correspondence
5. Perform routine office tasks including filing, faxing, scanning, restocking office supplies
6. Check in/out patients (verify necessary information and record in the medical record)
7. Schedule and Re-schedule appointments
8. Obtain copays and other payments by using a credit card machine and posting payments to accounts and working directly with our biller. Maintain cash drawer and inventory/balance sheet. Keep daily record of all transactions performed during the day
9. Ensure lobby reception area is clean, presentable, and organized. All staff help with cleaning. Assist with routine sanitization throughout the office.
10. Completing and filling out patient paperwork including FMLA forms, disability and worker's compensation forms, and referral forms.
11. Be able to help the team clean patient rooms
12. Assist in minor medical assistant roles when needed such as filing nails down, perform laser therapy (we will laser certify you), apply over the counter products to patients such as creams, help with shoes and socks, and educate patients on products used in the office (hands-on training provided).
