Patient Care Coordinator - Dental

Blue Ridge Family Dental in Apex is looking for a part-time or full-time Patient Care Coordinator (28-34 hours per week).

This is a great opportunity to join our family! We take time to listen to our patients and focus on quality dental care. Our office is looking for someone who will value our patients as much as we do and is searching for their forever dental home.

Our ideal team member would be friendly, outgoing, and genuine. They would have excellent communication skills and a love for making our patients feel like family.

Experience as a dental Patient Care Coordinator is a plus. However, we are willing to train for the perfect candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Checking patients in and out for appointments
• Answering patient phone calls and emails
• Managing provider schedules
• Verifying insurance benefits over the phone and online
• Entering insurance plan information into Dentrix
• Discussing patient treatment plans and discussing insurance estimates
• Providing additional support for other team members as needed

Candidate Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or Patient Care Coordinator is preferred, though not required
• Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
• Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience in using Dentrix software is a plus
