We are seeking a friendly and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the practice schedule
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for treatments
- Collect patient information, update medical records, and ensure accuracy of data
- File and input insurance claims and payments
- Collect patient payments
- Present treatment plans
- Coordinate referrals to specialists
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or medical office is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is highly desirable
- Customer service experience is extremely desirable
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic towards patients' needs
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
