Patient Care Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of our patient's surgical experience including patient education, surgery scheduling and financial estimates. The position would also help manage aspects of the office.

Expectations of role:

• Conducting phone and face-to-face cosmetic surgery consultations.
• Responding and following up on patient inquiries via email or phone.
• Scheduling surgeries.
• Checking on patient paperwork, confirming consent forms are signed.
• Giving patient quotes.
• Confirming surgery coverage with Anesthesiologist.
• Tracking patient consultations.
• Collecting surgery payments.
• Oversees day-to-day operational functions of the location.
• Possesses skill in all aspects of job functions in areas of responsibilities and has the ability to cover workstations as needed.
• Manages staff scheduling, including approving time off requests.
• Ensures appropriate cross-training of personnel to meet the needs of the location during absences and variations in patient flow.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

• Plastic surgery or dermatology experience is a plus.
• 5 years working in a medical office environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills.
